It's been several months since I have written anything on this blog. There's no excuse that I can make, other than me being too tired and distracted to focus long enough to write anything.  But isn't that always the case when we are trying to follow our dreams?
The world around us becomes so thick, we forget where we are going, and possibly, what we were doing there in the first place!  Crazy, I know.

In order to put myself back on track in spite of all of my life's happenings, I decided to just focus on the moment at any given time.  This worked wonders for my awesome vacation last week, but, not so much for me going back to work or reality for that matter. It's as if the cosmic forces are hell bent on working against me...the more I focus on one task, the less I am able to accomplish it.  So, I keep adding new things to my plate to keep me 'focused' and 'in-line' with my goals.  Uh...What?

Exactly. What am I thinking? Or better yet, am I thinking?  Too many times we deal with mess by adding more mess to it. It just make us, well, just plain messy.  Maybe, in falling prey to our distractions, we should just transition our thoughts to think new.  For instance, we can say "Everyday is a NEW day", as opposed to, "It's just another day". Or possibly say "I'm facing some NEW challenges today", as opposed to, "I'm having a bad day". Something that prevents your brain from ruminating on the mundane and listless facts of life to give you a new perspective on an old issue, thought, plan, or whatever.

Creating a NEW space in your mind to explore freedoms you never dreamed before may give you the capacity to focus on your dreams in a fresh and exciting way. Go ahead. Challenge yourself to purposely invigorate your life, your mind, and your soul with a fresh dose of vitality.  You may find that all you seek has been waiting for you to find it!

"The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself. " ~Mark Caine
