Tick Tock Goes the Clock

I am so tired right now.  I have been up all day, literally.  No nap or quick moment just to relax my mind.  I woke up early this morning to keep up with my run schedule, since I had something to do after work.  And the same will go for tomorrow, with not one but two softball games after work. In addition, there’s a class I am taking at church that requires my daily attention (because…I love Jesus) to which I have an assignment due Sunday.  Lord, is there rest for the weary?

Tick Tock goes the clock, and what shall we see? The clock keeps ticking; the world keeps spinning.  Time keeps moving.  No amount of money, planning, training will be able to alleviate the constant ticking of the clock.  Every minute of every hour is either consumed by purpose, progress, restoration, or waste.  If we spend time everyday working towards our purpose, we will progress to levels and places above what we could imagine; and restore that which was broken, whether by our own doing or not.  Everything else is wastefulness.

Tick Tock goes the clock, and now what shall we play?  In my opinion, wastefulness is an epidemic killing off all liveliness in the world like a cancer.  People who don’t know their purpose in life begin to stifle progress around them, wreak havoc within their environment, and blame everyone else for their lack (regardless of nature, whether money, power, etc.).  This vicious cycle reduces the true bounty that every living soul has to offer... burying all the rich and wonderful blessings sent to the world.

Tick Tock goes the clock, and all those years they fly away. That’s what happens as the years go on.  People are left behind holding on to things that no longer matter; for one last hope to feel loved, appreciated, and needed.  However, no one is ever told to let go and rest – thereby, turning all purpose and progress to waste because nothing has been restored.  At the end of our years, everything worked for will be nothing but dung if hurt and pain, sickness and depression, stress and anxiety take us back to our knees. Then again, that may not be such a bad thing!

Moral of the Story: I need some sleep!!  Can’t run all day without rest for my sole! Pray for me. Good Night.

Know the true value of time, snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. ~Lord Chesterfield
