Weird Science

This has been a very weird week. Nothing is out of the ordinary, just a strange brewing in the air. Finding the words to express it are hard to come by. You know how you feel something different and it’s not typical, but not bad?  Yeah. That kind of feeling. Its simply weird.

Trying to tap into my heart to see what it feels, its grateful, yet indifferent. Every day is a blessing with oodles of new mercies, yet it is the same every day. Not looking for something bad to happen, Lord knows I’ve had enough of those days. I know, however, there is more, but not sure what. And that is what’s weird. I don’t know how to get to that more.

I cannot build a machine that brings whatever it touches to life. I cannot wave a magic wand and my wildest dreams come true. Dreams do not happen that way. Well at least not for me. If there is something I want, it takes hard work. It takes perseverance. It means stepping out and taking risks. It means being strong even when I don’t want to. It means giving freely. It means immersing myself into the dream whole-heartedly to make it come true. And honestly, I really do not feel like it.  I believe we have been so conditioned to be complacent, to want something basic (or what someone else has) that we forget there’s more available to us. We don’t even know what our more is, because we don’t dream.

Dream more. Live more. Be more.  There is no science to it. You push or you don’t. You get up or you don’t. You go or you stay. Either way, we have to find a way to make this life a dream come true. When you lay your head down, you will prayerfully rise up and open your eyes. Jump out of bed ready to live more even when you don’t see it or feel it.

Now that I think about it, there’s smoke lingering in the air from the battle of me fighting to be the better me that I see.  The better me I need to be. To do the more I’m purposed for. To take my ordinary and make it extraordinary. I am at war with myself this week. I believe we all are, so I pray we win the war and live in the more we are destined for!
